Well, another school year is all but done, but just as 2017 wound down, preparations ramped up for another jam-packed year in 2018. In the last few weeks alone senior students sat exams, took part in transition classes, visited Deakin University and danced the night away at the Year 10 Formal. It’s business as usual for our junior students who continue to work hard to complete set tasks and assessments. Meanwhile VCAA exams are well under way for our Year 12 students, who recently enjoyed Independence day, graduation assembly and valedictory dinner celebrations to mark the end of an era. Not long after the delegation from our Italian sister school in Forli heads home after a jam packed visit to Hoppers Crossing, Australia, our China delegation darts off on its own overseas learning experience. We really are global citizens!

Well, the half-way mark of the academic year was celebrated with record numbers attending the Junior and Senior Schools Mid-Year Honours Nights. Once again, the Languages KLA experienced outstanding success with great results in the Annual Dante Alighieri Italian Society Poetry Recitation and the international ‘Language Perfect Program’ competitions. Course Selection evenings have come and gone as has the much anticipated Debutante Ball and the long awaited visit from our sister school delegation from Estancia High School, California. Read more…
Follow the journey of the Eagles throughout their second week in Australia. The second week included an amazing trip along the Great Ocean Road where students were able to see some of the beautiful landmarks along the Victorian coast line.
The first of the Family Day experiences was held over the weekend for The 2017 Eagles. Students took part in a range of exciting activities.
The Eagles’ first week in Australia has been cold but exciting! They have participated in many ‘Australian’ experiences, such as eating Vegemite, seeing Koala’s and trying a meat pie!
Throughout Term 2 our students continued to show a high level of commitment to their learning through the variety of practical activities at the College. Year 7 students experimented with the concepts of force and friction while testing cars they made from household items while business acumen was put to the test of Year 11 students as they jostled to maximise sales (and profits) at the Year 11 Business Management and VCAL Business Carnival. Time flies when you’re having fun and, with the numerous extra-curricular activities we enjoyed this term aimed at enhancing and supporting the learning of our students, we’ve certainly done a lot of that! Year 7 students attended Camp, the Senior School hosted Big Challenge and Bonding Bonanza events and the whole school enjoyed yet another successful Harmony Day. Read more . . .
