In order to engage parents of our College community in the academic, social and emotional progress of their child, the Principal schedules a parent forum each Term throughout the year, to enable all parents to gain additional information regarding an array of topics.
Parent forums have been well attended in the past, and provide Principal Mr Wayne Terrill, with the opportunity to engage with parents of the community in a positive and fulfilling manner. In the past, forums have covered topics such around:
- Cyber safety
- Dealing with Teenagers
- Conflict Resolution
- Developing Resilience
- Raising Kids to Thrive
- Parenting in the Tricky Years
The Parent Forums are organised by the Principal and most often are presented by experts from within the specific topics of interest. Such experts have included Andrew Fuller and Michael Grose, who are very well known in the field of child psychology and providing advice to parents in regards to creating positive relationships with children.
Parents of students from Years 7 – 12 are more than welcome to attend these evenings.
The Parent Forums are advertised to all parents via the College publication, Newsline and regularly advertised through email and in local newspapers.
