Throughout Term 2 our students continued to show a high level of commitment to their learning through the variety of practical activities at the College. Year 7 students experimented with the concepts of force and friction while testing cars they made from household items while business acumen was put to the test of Year 11 students as they jostled to maximise sales (and profits) at the Year 11 Business Management and VCAL Business Carnival. Time flies when you’re having fun and, with the numerous extra-curricular activities we enjoyed this term aimed at enhancing and supporting the learning of our students, we’ve certainly done a lot of that! Year 7 students attended Camp, the Senior School hosted Big Challenge and Bonding Bonanza events and the whole school enjoyed yet another successful Harmony Day. Read more . . .

Year 12’s attended Ballarat’s Federation University Study Camp, our 2016 Sister School delegation has returned from its visit to Costa Mesa and Estancia High School and Year 7 students and their families were formally welcomed to the College with a Welcome Barbecue. What a way to end the school year! Our Year 12 students were rewarded for their hard work with exceptional results – the best ever Year 12 VCE results for Hoppers Crossing Secondary College!
Our 2017 College Captains, Vice Captains, Sports and House Captains are named and our Year 7 students reigned supreme taking out 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Pacific Werribee gingerbread house decorating competition. Read more . . .

Our Year 12 students celebrated their last official day as a cohort in true Hoppers Crossing Secondary College style. International delegates report back on their time away in China and Italy. Term 2 wraps up after what has been an extremely busy time. In true Hoppers Crossing Secondary College style, students have risen to the challenge in many ways. Many took up leadership opportunities, sat Improvement Tests, undertook Work Experience, competed for championship points at the Annual Athletics Carnival and enjoyed the extreme talent of our senior students who performed at the Senior Music Night. NAPLAN tests are completed, and exam preparation for senior students is underway. Staff and students enjoyed Harmony Day celebrations and watched indigenous students perform traditional dances and a smoking ceremony. Our annual Year 11 Business Management and VCAL Business Carnival was once again a huge success.
