The VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) is a practical, hands-on senior secondary pathway that prepares students for employment, apprenticeships, traineeships, TAFE and further education. 

Learning is based on real-world experiences, allowing you to develop practical skills while applying your knowledge in authentic workplace and community settings. 

Alongside your VET studies and Structured Workplace Learning, you will complete four core subjects: Literacy, Numeracy, Work Related Skills and Personal Development Skills. 

Throughout the program you will strengthen your communication, teamwork, problem-solving and digital skills, investigate workplace and community issues, and complete projects that reflect your interests and career goals.

 VCE VM provides a flexible and supportive learning environment where success is demonstrated through practical, applied assessment rather than external examinations, helping you build the confidence and skills needed for your chosen future pathway.

 Students who undertake the VCE-VM qualification are often those that are interested in going to TAFE, completing an apprenticeship or becoming employed immediately after the completion of Year 12.

A dedicated Applied Learning leader oversees the implementation of the qualification at the College and is responsible for providing our VCE-VM students with the opportunities and experiences to further develop their personal and employability skills throughout their time at the College.

Our students also undertake roles in fundraising for charities and organisations throughout the year and take part in the annual Business Carnival with VCE Business Management students.
