Internal Mid Year and End of Year examinations are conducted for the assessment of student knowledge and skills at Years 9, 10 and 11.
Year 9 students will sit one exam for each core subject (English, Maths, Humanities and Science) at the end of each semester’s study.
Year 10 and 11 students sit one exam for each subject at the end of each semester’s study, both at mid-year and end of year.
Year 12 students sit an internal indicative examination focused on Unit 3 and Unit 4 content knowledge during spring term holidays in September.
Year 12 VCE and VCE-VM students will also undertake the external GAT (General Achievement Test) during the mid-year examination period. VCE-VM students only sit Part A of the GAT.
At the end of the year, year 12 VCE students will sit an external examination for each of their subjects focusing on Unit 3 and Unit 4 content.
Both the GAT and end of year 12 VCE examinations will be conducted onsite by VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority) representatives.
